Groups & Presentations at Connected Family Counselling

Attachment-Focused. Trauma-Informed. Practical. Transformative.

At Connected Family Counselling, we offer evidence-informed groups and presentations designed to strengthen connection, build emotional resilience, and support healthy child–caregiver relationships. Our workshops draw heavily from attachment science, the Circle of Security™ framework, and trauma-informed principles—making them accessible, relatable, and deeply supportive for parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals.

Circle of Security™ Parenting Groups

A compassionate roadmap for understanding your child’s emotional world.

The Circle of Security™ is a powerful, visual map of attachment needs. It helps caregivers understand two essential parts of a child’s development:

  • Their need to explore, take risks, and gain confidence (“going out on the circle”)

  • Their need to come back for comfort, safety, and regulation (“coming in”)

Caregivers learn how to be both a Secure Base and a Safe Haven—two roles that build trust, resilience, and emotional health.

Our COSP™ groups teach parents how to:
✔ Understand and respond to children’s attachment needs
✔ Make sense of tricky behaviours through an attachment lens
✔ Support emotional regulation at home
✔ Build stronger, more attuned relationships
✔ Break generational patterns with compassion, not shame

Why the Circle Matters:
Decades of attachment research, including the foundational work of John Bowlby, shows that secure attachment is one of the strongest predictors of lifelong emotional health, resilience, and relationship success. The good news? Attachment can be strengthened at any age.
