Pleased to Meet You
Jenna Beck,
MSW / Registered Social Worker
Hello, I’m Jenna
Therapy for Teen & Adult Males in Calgary
Life can be complicated, messy, overwhelming, and sometimes hilarious. Whether you’re a pre-teen, teen, young adult, or adult navigating a challenging season, therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and figure out what comes next.
I have a particular interest in supporting teens, and adults who identify as male, including those who may not always feel comfortable or understood in traditional therapy spaces. I also work with neurodivergent clients and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation, school avoidance, identity, relationships, and life transitions.
I’m a social worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and almost 20 years of experience working alongside children, teens, young adults, and families. My experience includes group care, housing programs, youth transition-to-adulthood programs, schools, and specialized education settings.
These experiences have shaped how I understand people and the many different ways we experience the world. They’ve also given me a genuine appreciation for the resilience, humour, and strength people bring with them—even when life feels incredibly hard.
If you’re wondering whether therapy might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. You don’t need to know exactly what you need help with—we can start with a conversation and go from there.

Beyond the Therapy Room
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, snuggling my pugs, squeezing in some yoga, or catching live music.
I’m also learning to slow down, embrace who I am, and laugh as much as possible along the way. I think there’s something to be said for finding the humour in the everyday chaos—and I bring that same perspective into my work.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in connection and authenticity. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation—a space where we can talk, laugh, pause, be curious, and sit with the uncomfortable stuff together.
I believe people are more than their challenges and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I work collaboratively with each client, meeting you where you are and tailoring our work to what feels meaningful and useful for you.
I draw from a range of evidence-informed approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, and MBCT, as well as art- and play-based interventions. I also use neurodiversity-affirming approaches, recognizing that there are many different ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world.
Most importantly, I want you to feel seen, understood, and supported. You don’t need to have the right words or everything figured out before you start. We can start wherever you are and work from there, together.
