Pleased to Meet You
Kayla Pearen,
Registered Psychologist
Hi, I’m Kayla
Therapy for Children, Teens & Adults in Calgary
There’s nothing wrong with you for feeling overwhelmed.
Maybe you’re doing your best every day while quietly wondering if your best is enough. Maybe you’re carrying more than most people realize, navigating a difficult season, or simply wishing you could feel more like yourself again.
Therapy can be a place to slow things down, take a breath, and make space for what you’re carrying.
I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, stress, trauma, parenting challenges, and life transitions. Together, we’ll notice what’s already working, build on your existing strengths, and find practical ways to help you feel more grounded and capable.
Beyond the Therapy Room
When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me outside—soaking up the mountains, camping, paddleboarding, or hiking.
Creativity is also one of my favourite ways to unwind, so I’m often trying out new recipes, crafts, or art projects with equal parts curiosity and enthusiasm.
These things remind me of the importance of slowing down, staying curious, and making room for the things that bring us joy—something I believe is just as important in therapy.
Whether you’re supporting a child through big emotions, trying to help your teen navigate a difficult season, or looking for support for yourself, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
If you’re ready for support, I’m here. We can take it one step at a time, together.

My Therapeutic Approach
My work is strengths-based and deeply relational. I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about creating a space where you feel supported, understood, and capable of moving through whatever life has brought your way.
I aim to offer support that feels gentle, practical, and truly usable in everyday life. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, with space to reflect, build coping tools, and recognize the strengths you may have overlooked along the way.
Like a river, our sessions can follow the natural flow of your journey—steady, grounded, and shaped by what you need that day.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Mount Royal University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
